Decision is taken. The winning project of the exterior design contest for reconstruction of the “Children’s World” (Dytiachyi Svit) new real estate is announced

In mid-November in Kyiv, the results of the All-Ukrainian architectural blitz contest for the best architectural and spatial composition of the full reconstruction of the real estate complex located at 3 Andriia Malyshka Str. in Dniprovskyi district of Kyiv were announced. Its redevelopment is our commitment, and the jury headed by Oleksandr Chyzhevskyi – the President of NUAU (The National Union of Architects of Ukraine) and consisted of the representatives of NUAU, Serhii Levtsov – the Director General of Edelburg Development, and the building owner, awarded prizes to the winners:

1st prize. The project by: Aranchii Dmytro Oleksandrovych, Volhushyna Vladlena Serhiivna, Sotnyk Anna Ihorivna, Soldatkin Nikita Olehovych.

The jury discussion revealed the approach of acceptance of the architects to the existing exterior design of the “Children's World”. The contest Sponsor’s representatives found project solutions economically reasonable, while the representatives of the Union of Architects highlighted expertise and elegance of the architectural methods used, as well as prompt size of the facades of the new building.

The three-dimensional solution and decoration of the facades of the new building is an effective compromise on the needs of the developer and the community based on the preservation of the modernistic facade of the “Children's World” real estate. The architect’s idea is based on the actual size, and in particular, its largest standing out element – a three-dimensional anodized aluminum module. The project represents the combination of contemporary and old-fashioned buildings thanks for the gradient (stretching) transition of the above-mentioned facade module to the new building.

2nd prize. The project by: Kurnitskyi Bohdan Oleksiiovych, Tsvylov Mykola Volodymyrovych, Brodskyi Oleksii Serhiiovych.

3rd prize. The project by Babynets Oleksii Yuriiovych.
